CDOBloggers elect new officers during Year End Elections & Thanksgiving

Cagayan de Oro’s first and pre-eminent group of bloggers elected their new set of officers for 2024 during their annual elections and thanksgiving held at the new Ribs & Bibs function room at the 5^th Floor of SM CDO Downtown on December 29, 2023.

The 2024 CDO Bloggers Officers are the following Karen Chayne Sanchez (CDO Lifestyle), Presdent; Ruby Caberte (Mommy Ruby) Vice President-Internal; Maia Nery Fortich Poblete (mimaiscribbles) VP External; Emem Aban (LadySoda) VP Social Media; Judy Teves (Bogie’s Wonderland), Secretary; Irene Dayo (ItsIreneDayo), Treasurer; Angel Estera (Wanderfully Angel) Auditor; and Shari Lapiz (Shai Talks), Asst. Auditor.

Four of the newly elected officers who are former presidents of the organization are expected to be crucial in revitalizing the group which languished in the doldrums the past year.

In her acceptance talk, Ms. Karen expressed here gratitude and appreciation in accepting her new role, stressing it is a a shared success that reflects the strength and unity within our blogging community.

SM Expresses Support

Speaking on behalf of SM Supermalls Cagayan de Oro which co-hosted the event with Ribs & Bibs, Public Relations Manager Carlston B. Maglangit disclosed how SM had reached out to the group to express their support.

“Even earlier this year, we already created plans for CDO Bloggers. However, due to unforeseen circumstances they did not push through. But we reached out to you several times actually.”

Nevertheless, he remained confident plans could now proceed under the new leadership to create and promote content about Cagayan de Oro.

“Hopefully with your new leadership, we can create partnerships, and for those who are starting, we can also help to grow your following and engagement, and help create more content for our community and Cagayan de Oro. There’s so many things in Cagayan de Oro we can create content about.”
