Filipino space engineers make history with Maya-2 CubeSat launch

The country witnessed another historic moment as its second cube satellite (CubeSat) Maya-2 was successfully launched to the  International Space Station (ISS) Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 1:36 A.M. (PHT) aboard the S.S. Katherine Johnson Cynus spacecraft.

PCCI supports gov’t moves to ensure supply of meat in the market

04 February 2021 – The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the largest

business organization in the country, expressed its support to the move by the government

to ensure the stable supply of meat and meat products in the market amidst shortage in the

country’s local production.

In a statement, the PCCI said it is confident in the leadership of Secretary William Dar as the 

Department of Agriculture (DA) puts up safeguards against those who manipulate the supply

and price of agricultural products and assured to increase the transport of pork, chicken, and

vegetables from the Visayas and Mindanao to Metro Manila and to Kadiwa outlets and, the

Mass Transit system pushed for RTA’s long-term plans for CDO

Lanao del Norte police welcomes new OIC

ILIGAN CITY —– The Provincial Police Office in Lanao del Norte (PPO LDN) welcomed on Monday (December 14) its new officer-in-charge in the person of Police Col. Isaias Bacurnay, a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class of 1998.

The City of Cagayan de Oro retained its ranking this year as the 7th Overall Most Competitive Highly Urbanized City (HUC) in the 2020 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index.

AFP probes chopper crashes in Lanao Sur

MARAWI CITY —– The Armed Forces of the Philippines has sent an investigating team to Lanao del Sur to investigate two crashes involving UH-1 Huey helicopters during combat operations in Lanao del Sur against the Dawlah Islamiyah (DI) militants on Thursday and Friday.
